Oregon Coast

Wow! What happened to March? I can't believe we are in April already. We had an exciting March. We took a trip to the Oregon Coast-- our first real family vacation that didn't involve camping or a family reunion. We asked Camden what he was most excited to see and his response was, "The hotel." We obviously don't get out much! The success of our trip was somewhat of a miracle. Ethan had the flu the whole week before and Tayson and Rylan had both had ear infections too. Camden started a cough the day or two before we left. Every prayer we said, we prayed that everyone would be healthy enough to enjoy the trip. Aside from a little coughing from Camden, everyone was in great health. In fact, once we got Tayson to go to sleep, he slept better at night than he does at home! We got home last Saturday and a couple of days ago Tayson started with a fever and congestion. I'm so grateful that our prayers were anwered and we didn't have to endure hours in the car with puking kids!!! Probably the highlight for the boys was a crazy ride in a dune buggy and playing on the beach. The highlight for me was coming back to the hotel after letting someone else cook and clean up dinner and seeing all the beds made and the towel folded! Oh, yeah. I also loved the gorgeous ocean views, light houses and all the neat things we got to see and do. It was a great experience-- back seat fighting and all!
